Chesterton Academy students experienced their first annual retreat on Monday, March 25, at the San Pedro Center (Winter Park, FL).
The retreat began with a talk from Ms. Hernandez on the virtue of Temperance and how students can live and practice this cardinal virtue throughout their day. Students were then split into small groups to discuss the virtue, even playing a few games to fortify their understanding of it.
Later in the morning, boys and girls were split into two groups, each with a special guest speaker on love, friendship, and developing a personal relationship with Christ.
Next was a delicious Chick-fil-A lunch, followed by a fun game of “capture the Easter egg” under the beautiful sunny skies. Finally, the retreat ended with a Holy Hour of Eucharistic adoration in the San Pedro chapel.
All in all, it was a beautiful and memorable experience for our students!
