Chesterton's Cross Country team began training at the beginning of the school year, led by one of our parents, Mariana Nadeau. The small but mighty team consisted of five female students and one male student: Elizabeth Campbell, Theresa Campbell, Aimee McElreath, Annabel Hendrick, Olivia Nadeau, and Matthew Ferriera.
Coach Nadeau hosted practices at nearby parks, where students trained and continually shortened their times. Throughout this semester, they participated in multiple local meets, including at The Geneva School, Freedom High, and Hagerty High School.
Their final meet took place on October 23, where they achieved these impressive times in the 5k (3.1 miles):
Matthew Ferreira - 22:53 (7:22 average), finishing 24/43
Annabel Hendrick - 24:04 (7:44 average), finishing 13/42
Olivia Nadeau - 29:03 (9:20 average), finishing 27/42
Elizabeth Campbell - 32:29 (10:27 average), finishing 36/42
Aimee McElreath - 39:09 (12:36 average), while being sick
Congratulations to all our Chesterton cross-country runners. We are so proud of our Saints!
